Little M and Her Handsome Big Brother {McAllen Children’s Photographer}

I had a great time photographing little M and her big brother last week!  How adorable is she???  And he was such a good sport…just patiently waited  around for his little sister…you know, 2-3 year olds always seem to set the pace for a session…lol!

Modern Day Brady Bunch!

Here’s the story, of a man named Martin…..

Yes, they each brought 3 kids to this family!!!  I was honored to help Rafael Sepulveda, McAllen wedding photographer, photograph this amazing wedding, and take part in this special day.  Watching the the love between Bill and Margie, and seeing their six kids blend seamlessly to form this new family was really touching!  I had so much fun with them, and I’m soooo glad that they were so willing to go outside in the cold, dreary weather to do these fun shots!!!  It’s not often that everyone is up for the fun stuff on  what is usually a rushed, stressful day.  This day was all about family…this new, blended, amazing family….hope they love their sneak peek! It was really hard to narrow these down…I could have posted 50 more!!!

Little M {McAllen Children’s Photographer}

This little girl was so cute, and soooo shy!!!  She started to loosen up at the end of the session, but for most of the time, she was pretty serious.  That’s ok though, with those big brown eyes, she can be as serious as she wants!!!  Hope mom and dad love these!

All Moved In!!!

If you follow my blog, or my Facebook page, you already know that I have recently moved into a new studio.  It is totally a dream studio for me…it’s what I’ve always dreamed of having…over 2000 sqft of shooting space, plus a production room, a back room, and lots of storage space.  It’s on the 2nd floor of  a downtown building with windows lining 2 of the walls, completely remodeled to my exact specifications, and best of all, I’m sharing this amazing space with one of my oldest and best friends, photographer Rafael Sepulveda!

Rafael and I share a long history…we met in Jr. High and were close friends all though high school.  When we went our separate ways for college…me to UT Austin, and Rafael to Boston University, we remained great friends and kept in touch through the years.  When we found ourselves both owning our own photography businesses (him in Atlanta, me in McAllen) we joked about how cool it would be to find a perfect, downtown building and to work together there.  Fast forward to the present, and here we are…in the perfect downtown building, working side by side.

While we will keep our companies separate (he specializes in teaching photography classes and wedding photography) we will continue working together as Eleven Eleven Commercial Photography…our joint company that we formed several years ago, specializing in corporate and modern professional headshots.

We both couldn’t be happier to be exactly where we are…it’s amazing to me to what twists and turns life takes, and how we end up exactly where we are supposed to be!!!  I only wish my my mom was here to see us working together…”Ralph” was always one her favorites of my friends….

Here is a picture of us in our new studio…special thanks to Bridgette Bloomquist for doing our headshots during her last visit from Austin!!!

As soon as the studio is completely finished (hopefully soon!) I’ll post pictures of the inside!
