Love this sleepy newborn!  She was a dream to photograph…slept for almost the entire session.  That doesn’t happen often!   Almost makes me want another one…almost!

This little girl was sooooo great to work with! She is not only beautiful, but super sweet as well….and I must say, the camera LOVED her!  Hope mom loves this sneak peek as much as I loved working with her little girl!!!

I LOVED this session!  These boys were full of energy, rambunctious… and best of all, sweet and gorgeous!  The last time I did a session with the H brothers, the little one had blonde hair!!!  I love watching my little clients grow!!!  Hope mom loves her sneak peek!

Also, I have had lots of emails and calls about senior sessions…..it’s time!!!  If your senior would like a more creative portrait than the cap and gown/yearbook portraits that are taken at school, schedule your session soon!!!  My deadline this year for senior portraits (to have in time to mail out announcements) is April 1!  Don’t wait……sessions will book very quickly!!!

These are words that I would like people to use when describing me personally, but especially when describing my style of photography.  If you have followed my work, you know that I prefer children to be real, natural, and to capture their true selves.  This is especially true when I photograph siblings, families, or groups of any kind.  I know MY kids are not perfect, so capturing that perfect image of them is not  my number one priority.   Don’t get me wrong, I try hard to get at least one or two great “perfect” shots of them each year…all three of them close together, looking at the camera, in cute, color coordinating clothes, hopefully smiling….But for the most part, my favorite ones of them are the ones that show their true personalities, and especially their true relationships.

I WANT to capture the imperfect…the funny interactions, the quirkiness, the expressions, the bruised knees, the missing teeth, and most of all, the pure beauty!!!  My goal is to freeze time, and to emphasize all that makes YOUR child who he or she is….even the imperfect….

So if you schedule a session with me, please know that imperfect is just fine with me…what’s important is that I will capture your child, or family as they are….real, true, and natural…

I’m sooooo excited to FINALLY announce a HUGE change coming up soon for LINDA BLACKWELL PHOTOGRAPHY!!!  I’m moving my studio to a new, bigger location in DOWNTOWN MCALLEN!!!  It is very bittersweet for me, because I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE  my current studio… but I stumbled upon what will surely be my dream studio (after lots of remodeling and personalizing!).  I can’t wait to begin work on the new space, and I’ll be posting lots pictures of  before, during, and after the remodel!

I’ll be at my current location until February 15th, so if you would like to have one last studio session there, email me to schedule one soon!  Sessions will be very limited!

And now, here is the last session that I’ll ever do with my girls there (sniff sniff!)…I’ve done their sessions there every year since I moved in…every birthday, Abby’s newborn session, etc… I’ll miss my great little space….it’s been good to me!!!
